It is important landlords and tenants remain in touch with what is happening in the rental market. Things are changing quickly in the UK rental market, and while there is stability in the Nottingham rental market, there is a need to remain in touch with what is happening.
At Holdencopley, we appreciate these are challenging times for landlords and tenants. We have developed a strong reputation for connecting parties in the rental market, and ensuring everyone is happy with their rental agreement.
This is why we have read with interest about the supposed demand for “all-inclusive packages” across the country. With so much financial uncertainty for many people, it is easy to see why many tenants appreciate the chance to cap their bills.
Tenants want certainty in their monthly bills
According to Movebubble, a rental app, demand for “bills-included” rental property has increased 28% in the year-on-year figures. This information is based on searching the data of more than 700,000 users of the app.
The people behind the app also states there has been a 101% rise in searches for rental properties with all-inclusive bills, between March and July this year. There is no denying people want to feel confident about their finances, and it might be tenants would prefer to rent in a place where they have a fixed figure for their rent and utilities such as electricity, gas, water and Wi-Fi.
Chief executive of Movebubble Aidan Rushby said: “It’s interesting to see the concept of all-inclusive rental packages emerge as a trend within the property sector as home-movers increasingly seek solace in nurturing financial certainty in an uncertain world.”
Some tenants need consistency more than others
The need for this service is more notable in studio properties and one-bedroom apartments. Again, the tenants in these properties might be more focused on developing consistency in their bills, and it is easy to see why such an arrangement would be beneficial to them.
Mr Rushby added: “Having the certainty of paying a fixed amount of rent at the beginning of each month can be an easier way to manage finances. It has been a turbulent and unpredictable year - meaning many of us are looking to get our finances in order by creating some stability. Especially in terms of outgoings. So having the peace of mind that utility payments are under control can really offer tenants convenience and valuable peace of mind.”
While this style of rental agreement isn’t suitable for all landlords and tenants, it will be useful for some.
