Wollaton
Wollaton is steeped in history and is a beautiful place to live in the Western part of the county, it is home to the famous Wollaton Hall where you can discover the natural history museums, outdoor theatre, shows and events and tours around the hall and grounds. If you are looking for somewhere with plenty of outdoor walks, things to do with the family and spectacular scenery, Wollaton is your place.
Beeston
Beeston is a town around 3 miles West of Nottingham City Centre and a desirable place to live. Beeston has lots of local amenities including a shopping centre, walking nature trails, sports clubs and is the location to the well-known Beeston Film Festival. If you are looking for somewhere to live that has a strong community spirit surrounded by arts and entertainment, Beeston is well worth considering.
Mapperley
Mapperley is a popular place among those looking to buy a property as it brings the best of both worlds in terms of countryside and connections into Nottingham City. If you are planning to commute, Mapperley is only a few miles from the M1. There are also a number of schools which have been highly rated by Ofsted in Mapperley and it has all the local conveniences you need close by.
The Park
The Park in Nottinghamshire has a higher housing price point than other areas but is well-known for its Victorian architecture and its peaceful olde world British feel. The Park is a conservation area has been previously described as “an isolated oasis in the centre of the city”. An interesting feature in The Park is it’s gas street lighting system which the locals chose to keep rather than upgrading to electric.
